Emergency Maintenance Outage affecting the gooseberry system ! Monday September 12th we anticipate a significant outage as we replace the damaged fiber plant on Haxton Way. The fire severely damaged our main fiber links. We anticipate the outage to be in the afternoon. Please be patient, we will do our best to keep this to a minimum. There will be an additional systemwide outage in the next few months as we schedule to move our facilities to a more secure location and will keep you informed

There is a major outage on the lummi nation. An RV caught fire this morning and burned the main coax and fiber lines feeding the system. The fiber is holding right now but very delicate and fully exposed. We are going to try and patch the coax without breaking the fiber. This is a big job so there is no eta at this time as we gather parts and additional crew. Follow this post for more details. Please don’t disturb the crews asking 50 questions we are doing our best to return services. Oh and THANK YOU whatcom fire for getting it out out before even more damage…
