Them: "This generation doesn't want to work"

Me: I spent last month celebrating three top performers under 25 that I personally hired & trained.

One is a top sales champion, one is the top performing receiving specialist.

Another just crushed sales numbers at an event after only being with us for months, getting applause from the team onsite

I think, you get what you give.

If you ever aligned with the first line of this post, let's put that mindset down.

Every human from any time in history, has potential, and will harness it in the right environment.

Instead of "No one wants to work anymore"...

Let's do this:

Provide the tools.
Provide the rules.
Provide motivation.
Support the journey.
Celebrate the wins.
Correct after losses.

Humans want to do a good job.
Make it possible.

Show them what that means, give specifics, give metrics, set goals,
then get out of the way.

Check in often.
Rinse & Repeat.

Scale anyway.
Life is never perfect.

I have learned that
time and time again.

I have also learned
what I am good at
even when life's tough.

That is:
showing up.
scaling.
resting.
repeating.

When you are ready
it changes.

Your once consistent,
sometimes boring,
life becomes incredibly...

uncomfortable.

What once felt like everything you had wanted, doesn’t move you anymore.

It can be as simple as...

That hobby or craft you've mastered is now in a heap of mess in the corner.

Your favorite shows aren't keeping you engaged.

You stopped reading or writing.

Friends aren't being reached out to because you don't feel like you have anything exciting to share.

Maybe it's more than that...

Relationship changes with or without your permission.

You are shifting regardless.

That "dream job" now feels like a fairytale 🧚‍♀️ and more like a walking nightmare.

You could be bored out of your gourd or overworked and underpaid.

It's no longer inspiring you.

Maybe, you have a dream or goal you've held on to quietly.

Something tingling in the back on your mind, growth waiting to be unlocked.

It's may start as a small idea but overtime it is all you're thinking about.

There are a million ways you could be faced with a growth moment.

Life gives us many moments each day to change our lives forever.

Every success story every told started with one conversation.

Either the conversation they had with themselves or the conversation they decided to have with others.

No new career starts without a chat(interview).

No new relationship starts without conversation(dating).

No new dream can grow without you giving yourself permission to try.
