LSP Association The LSP Association (LSPA), founded in 1993, supports an aggressive agenda that protects the health and safety of Massachusetts' citizens.

The LSP Association (LSPA), founded in 1993, is a professional association of 850 members, about half of whom are Licensed Site Professionals (LSPs). The LSPA supports an aggressive agenda that protects the health and safety of Massachusetts' citizens while expediting the cleanup and reuse of properties contaminated with hazardous waste. LSPs have brought over 30,000 contaminated properties into r

egulatory compliance since 1993. LSPA members work with lawmakers, regulators, and other environmental professionals to revitalize older industrial neighborhoods through the redevelopment of "brownfield" sites.

Don’t miss this upcoming LSP Association course: Glacial Geology of the Northeast United States
📅 January 20, 2026 | 🕒 9:00 AM - 12:15 PM | 💻 Live Webinar | 3.0 Technical Credits (MA, CT, NY)

Join instructor Brian Yellen, PhD, State Geologist for Massachusetts and Director of the Massachusetts Geological Survey, to learn more about how glacial processes have shaped the Northeast—and how this knowledge can improve site characterization and groundwater investigations.

This course will help LSPs and environmental practitioners:
✅ Understand the glacial processes that formed the region’s landscapes
✅ Connect glacial geomorphology to site characterization and investigation design
✅ Access and interpret surficial geologic maps
✅ Work with updated 3D datasets to better interpret subsurface conditions

November Member Meeting: Improving In-situ Remediation Outcomes Design and Implementation Credit
📅 November 18 | 🕒 3:45-5:00 PM | 💻 Live Webinar

Join the LSP Association for its November Membership Meeting on in-situ remediation, a widely used strategy for addressing contaminated sites. This presentation will cover design and implementation, focusing on how geology and contaminant properties shape effective, site-specific treatments. During this live webinar, presenter Paul M. Dombrowski, PE, will cover:
✅ Introduction to in-situ remediation
✅ Geologic variability & contaminant distribution
✅ In-situ remediation delivery tools
✅Remedial design parameters
✅Case studies

This is a great topic for environmental professionals looking to enhance cleanup effectiveness, navigate complex site conditions, and support regulatory compliance. Q&A to follow — bring your questions!
