Many people are concerned about the new federal work requirements for Medicaid. The WI Department of Health Services (DHS) has launched a new website and screening tool for Wisconsinites to learn about these new work requirements. DHS will also be hosting a Medicaid Work Requirement Webinar on June 18, 2026. You can submit your questions by June 12th to [email protected] if you want them to answer your questions specifically on the webinar.

This free legal clinic will have legal professionals on-hand to review records and provide life-changing legal services at no cost to people who live in Rock County. Lift Wisconsin will also be onsite for driver's license recovery information.
Clinic focus:
1. Eviction Sealing
An eviction can severely hurt an applicant's chance at securing stable housing, regardless of any circumstances leading to eviction. To help mitigate the negative effects of eviction records, we will have legal professionals available to review client records and help eligible clients prepare the paperwork to request eviction sealing.
2. Expungements/Background Check Correction
For individuals with criminal records, even minor infractions can create significant roadblocks to stable housing and employment. Our clinics help eligible clients clear the records, giving them a second chance.
3. Pardons
Our clinics help identify clients who are pardon-eligible and who may be eligible for assistance in completing a pardon application.

I had the honor of co-presenting at the Together for Children Conference with Rock County CPS and an incredible lived experience expert 💬

We talked about what it really takes to create change in child welfare systems—especially when it comes to:
✔️ Supporting staff wellbeing
✔️ Partnering authentically with people who have lived experience
✔️ Using CoDesign to build better, more inclusive solutions

We also shared real challenges and successes from Rock County’s journey and encouraged others to think about how they can start (or grow) systems change work in their own communities.

One big takeaway: lasting change happens when we listen, collaborate, and build together.

Proud to represent King Consulting in this work and grateful to be in spaces where these conversations are happening.
