Meet Amy Morter – Owner of Crow&Cactus! 🌵✨

With over 20 years of leadership experience, Amy Morter has built a diverse career in healthcare, education, PR, event planning, and design. She developed strong leadership skills at Fort Hood, supporting soldiers and families, and later excelled in corporate roles, including HR Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO at Fusion.

In December 2022, Amy combined her passion for design, culture, and entrepreneurship to launch The Crow and Cactus, a luxury home décor and gift shop offering interior design services in Belton, TX. She also serves as a board member and curator for Grace Art Gallery, helping to bring art and creativity to the community.

Meet Brendan Brown – Owner of The Bin Spa & Power Washing! 🏆🗑️

Brendan Brown is a New Jersey native with a strong background in leadership and business. After graduating from West Point with a degree in Business Management, where he played football and was a powerlifter, he went on to serve as an Army Air Defense Officer, choosing Fort Hood as his first duty station.

With a passion for entrepreneurship, Brendan earned his MBA from LSU, focusing on entrepreneurship. During this time, he became the proud owner of The Bin Spa, where he has expanded services and coverage throughout Central Texas. Through three acquisitions and two mergers, Brendan has dominated the market, providing top-tier bin cleaning services to the community.

A Central Texas entrepreneur for over 30 years, Mike started his journey in real estate after moving to the area for a job in the fitness industry. Within a year, he earned his real estate license, launched his own business, and never looked back!

Today, Linnemann Realty operates three office locations and manages nearly 1,400 residential and commercial units across Bell and Coryell Counties. But Mike’s vision goes beyond real estate—he and his wife, Priscilla, founded Level 3 Coworking & Event Center in downtown Belton and are now working on a new steakhouse coming soon to 206 E. Central.

Mike’s expertise extends to building and development, having constructed his company’s commercial spaces in both Killeen and Belton. He’s also a dedicated community leader, serving as:

Meet Meredith Duke! Meredith has been a REALTOR® since 2017, an Associate Broker since 2021, and co-founded Duke Realty in January 2021, where she has proudly led the brokerage for the past 4 years. As an Associate Broker with Duke Realty, Meredith understands the importance of lead generation, contracts, negotiations, budgeting, marketing, and maintaining a concierge-level of service. Above all, she values kindness, grace, and mercy in business.

Meredith’s prior experience spans 13 years in Risk Management, Marketing, Claims, and Programming at an international insurance company. With a background in education and a passion for advocacy, she brings a fresh perspective to the Texas Craft Brewers Guild Board of Directors, where she serves as Government Affairs Co-Chair, and the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where she is Treasurer.

Her dedication to Government Affairs began in her home state of Virginia, advocating for legislation supporting Gold Star families like her own. Now in Texas, she continues that work, collaborating with Senator Pete Flores’s office to draft legislation benefiting brewers and agricultural producers.

John is the founder and creative director of Ciaburri Brand, a local creative advertising agency and digital marketing firm. With over 28 years of experience in the advertising industry, he specializes in branding, web design, advertising, logo design, and SEO. He holds a degree in Commercial Art and Advertising from Texas State Technical College in Waco.

Meet the Belton Business Advisory Panel! This group is made up of nine dedicated business owners committed to supporting and strengthening our local business community.

Today, we’re introducing one of our panel members: John O'Brien - owner of ROAM Roof & Solar.

John O'Brien, "Your Friend in Roofing", is an Army Veteran turned small business owner that is raising the bar for roofing in Central Texas. Born and raised in Texas, he joined the Army right out of high school. Mid-Career, John participated in the Army's Green-to-Gold program where he finished his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at Dallas Baptist University. He medically retired in 2017 as a Captain while stationed at Fort Hood, and immediately began his career in roofing by helping out the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Currently he is the owner of a local roofing company, headquartered in Belton, TX - ROAM Roof & Solar. They have 18 full time and 2 part time employees. He has consulted with and helped several local business owners over the years on topics like increasing sales, marketing, branding, leadership, workplace culture, team building and employee retention. John also serves on the Board of Directors for Rucks on Main, a local 501c3 Non-Profit that focuses on assisting veterans. He is married to Abbey O'Brien, a local Realtor with Magnolia Realty, and has 3 daughters (14, 5 and 22 months). His hobbies include long range shooting, archery, hunting and fishing both on and off shore.
