Hello Friends ! It is that time of year again to pour our wines at the Shadowbrook Restaurant in Capitola at 1750 Wharf Road. February 12th from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. We will pour our Andersen Vineyards 2005 , 2006 and 2009 Cabernet Sauv. and our 2003 Merlot/Cab Romanic Red Blend Both are grown using organic sustainable practices and are 100% Estate Grown. Hello friends ! I thought I would write a post about harvest time at Andersen Vineyards. The last year harvest is still in barrels and this year we will not have a harvest. Normally we would be thinking of harvest and calling friends and family to come join us picking grape and usually a Bar-B-Que at the end of the day. A big lunch early mid day and lots of good conversations. The reason we are not harvesting this year around end of Sept or early Oct. is that I have been fighting Cancer and going through radiation therapy and radioactive implanted seed crystals to really do a job and kill the cancer. It has been a tough year but the doctors are telling me I am showing really good signs and blood work with much lower PSA numbers. They say I am beating the cancer and we will know more in a few months. So this takes up my whole morning every day and it has been what I needed to do fight this and hopefully get well. I am doing better and so happy the doctors are giving me hope. But I could not take car of the vineyard. We do things sustainable agricultural practices practices and you got to be on top of it so you don't get powdery mil dew & I had to make a choice and there was no time to take care of the vineyard. I needed to take care of myself. And I am glad I did. We look forward to next year. I am now in recovery and it takes a long time to feel better and maybe several more months to know if I beat cancer. I also had to not work at my jewelry store and lost business because there were days I could not work and some are really bad days. I am getting better and have been able to work at the store a lot and Just let the birds get what little grape did grow. I really appreciate all the understanding from my customers and all the prayers from friends and family.

Hello everyone ! It is that time of year when we pour 4 of our wines as a flight and all over 10 years old fine Reds grown from our estate vineyard here in Zayante canyon, Felton , California.
We will be pouring our wines from 5 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday Feb. 13th at the Shadowbrook Restaurant on Wharf Road in Capitola. You can call 831-475-1222 to make dinner reservations or just show up and have a flight of 4 of our wines , or by the glass in the Rock Room Lounge. Wines will be 50% off on bottles of your favorites to take home.

harvest came so quick - I had a hard time contacting everyone. I had to purchase a new computer late last year due to ransomware attack and lost most of everyone e-mail addresses and phone numbers so please contact me at [email protected] with your information so I can invite you next year. We had some damage to the grapes due to high temps in the vineyard recently but saved what we could that was high quality grapes. It can always be worse so we are grateful we still had a fair crop to harvest. - Alan

We have been putting up the bird netting at Andersen Vineyards. the grapes are going to blue and getting bigger.
