I love how it’s becoming increasingly important for me to have Deaf community when a year ago, I didn’t feel that way at all.

ALSO, hearing pals who sign are SO COOL. I was in a store and one of the workers there started signing to me and it made my day.

My brain is still struggling to respond in ASL and not vocally so very much so a WIP.

I love ASL because it’s sooo in tune with body language and facial expression and this is half, if not more of the language. SO MUCH is communicated through visual cues.

Even though I’m just learning ASL, I’ve always been attuned to these cues because it’s how I gather a lot of my information without sound.

There’s so much to say around what’s happening and unfortunately, it goes much deeper than just learning consent but maybe some people can still learn something from this.

It was a restful sleep 🫣

This is quite loud with my hearing aids but once they’re out, I don’t hear it. However, to be fair, I could feel some of the vibration from the train!
