Estamos aprendiendo como identificar y nombrar las partes de las plantas en español, que necesitan para poder crecer, y el ciclo de vida de las plantas. Plantaron girasoles la semana pasada y esta semana nos divertimos pintando una flor o planta.

We are learning how to identify and name parts of plants in Spanish, what they need to be able to grow, and the plant life cycle. Last week they planted sunflowers and this week we had fun painting a plant or flower.

Heartwarming success story!!

A client I have been working with for several months now had a huge breakthrough last week! He oversees a very successful business and has made it his goal since he was hired to boost moral, teamwork, communication, and to make sure the team members who primarily speak Spanish are valued, heard, recognized, and appreciated.

Last week, one of his team members came to him upset and wanting to quit. Instead of finding a translator he was able to sit down and have a great conversation with this employee, reminding him of how important his work is and listening to what changes could be made. They problem-solved and discovered he would be much happier transferring to another department. My client reported that his team member left feeling heard, valued, and appreciated.

It’s incredible how the power of language can bridge gaps of misunderstanding and lead to greater connection, purpose, and community.

Thankful for amazing clients who are the change!!

We love playing games to practice vocabulary and speaking in complete sentences! In this first game we each made our own two questions for the board game. The students were surprised at how much Spanish they knew after just a few months!

¡Hola a todos!

I'd love to introduce and share a little more about myself! This is just a small glimpse of my experience and passion as a teacher and life-long learner. If I had to narrow my craft down to two skills I have refined over the years as an educator it would be getting my students to learn through kinesthetic and collaborative learning. I truly believe learning is greatly enhanced when we are engaged, excited about the content, and collaborating or creating with others.

When I am not teaching I love spending time with my family; my husband, 8mo son, and dog. We are outdoor enthusiasts and love backpacking, snowboarding, hiking, swimming, traveling, and just being in nature.
