One of the reasons I have incorporated the term “authenticity” into my marketing so much is due to the lack of true authenticity in marketing and social media. Additionally, the negative social and psychological effects of always seeing the “best” of everything on social media is so very damaging to those who live “normal” lives.

Here’s the deal... we’re all “normal” “average”, whatever you want to label it. Cool images are cool, but having an Instagram perfect photo should never define you or make you feel like you have to keep up.

You do you... be authentic to who you are and what makes you great, I promise people will relate and appreciate you being a genuine human being. 🙌

Social media is a great tool, it can help you to reach people you would never have access to, sell your product or service, or host amazing events. Many of the authorities in our industry preach the importance of “social proof” and brands want to see a high social following as proof of your authority or influence. The problem is, the vast majority of what you see on social media is absolutely smoke and mirrors.

Stop worrying about your following and you’re influence, and be authentic to who you are as human being. When we can do that, we win 100% of the time, regardless of the numbers.
