Medicare coverage for in-home care can be confusing, especially when a loved one needs ongoing help at home.

Medicare does not pay for long-term care when ongoing help with daily activities is the only care needed, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, supervision, or companionship. Medicare may cover certain short-term home health services when skilled care is needed and Medicare requirements are met.

McLeod Health welcomes Noah Dargy, MD, to the medical staff. Dr. Dargy joins the team at McLeod Vascular Associates in Florence, where he provides comprehensive care for patients with a broad range of vascular conditions.

Dr. Dargy earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia and completed an Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia.

Dr. Dargy cares for patients with both acute and chronic vascular conditions, including aneurysmal disease, cerebrovascular disease, aortic pathology, peripheral arterial disease, venous disease and limb-threatening ischemia. He also treats patients requiring dialysis access and those with complex vascular conditions requiring both medical and surgical management. His particular clinical interests include aortic pathology, carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease and dialysis access.
