As most of you know, we take weddings seriously around the vineyard. Only 1 incredible couple per year get to celebrate their new beginning here on the estate. We are so proud to have Brittany and Mark be the 2026 wedding at Cooper.

We have known Brittany and Mark for years through her brother Grant and his wife Lisa. Our friendships have grown for 15+ years here at Cooper with voyages to Grant and Lisa’s home in Indiana.

We are super excited to celebrate with their family and friends. Cheers to Brittany and Mark’s true L’inizio. •coop

The most unique Bordeaux blend on Red Mountain? We think so.

•Most Bordeaux blends are built around three or four varietals. Every once in a while, you’ll find five.

•L’inizio has been a SIX-varietal Bordeaux Mega-Blend since 2012. And since 2017, it has been 100% estate-farmed.
That matters to us. There’s a big difference between having grapes farmed for you and farming the vineyard yourself.
•When someone else farms your fruit, the season is communicated to you—the decisions, the challenges, the little changes happening in each block.
When you farm it yourself, you live it.
You walk the rows. You watch the vines respond. You make the decisions. You feel the vintage developing long before a single grape reaches the winery.
And ultimately, you taste those decisions in the bottle.
Our estate is divided into 33 unique vineyard blocks, and months before harvest we begin looking closely at which of those blocks have the potential to become L’inizio. In a given vintage, we may focus on fruit from as many as 12–13 individual blocks.

That’s what makes this wine so interesting to us.
It isn’t simply six Bordeaux varietals blended together. It’s our estate, our farming and an entire vintage brought together in one bottle.
And this CoopClub allocation gives our members the opportunity to experience that story across time.

•CoopClub Gold receives a three-year L’inizio vertical.
•CoopClub Platinum receives a six-year L’inizio vertical.
Yes… SIX consecutive vintages of L’inizio, side by side.
We’ve intentionally held bottles back from previous vintages for years so we could create opportunities exactly like this.
Not simply library wines.
A chance to taste six growing seasons. Six harvests. Six different expressions of the same estate.

We don’t know many wine clubs consistently creating experiences like this for their members.
But then again…
We’ve never been very interested in doing things the way everyone else does.
Welcome to CoopClub.
And to our lifetime CoopClub members who continue to take this ride with us…

We love you.

The 2024 carménère is a great representation of who we are and why we do what we do. From the oldest plantings on the Mtn, years of hyperfocus in 2 hemispheres, this grape is something very special here in the estate.

Often they say: I don’t drink Merlot… and we simply laugh and pour the wine. Red Mountain Merlot is delicious, bold, and memorable to say the least.
