Since it's getting colder outside, let's talk about "cold calling"...
I frequently get asked for tips/tricks, so here are a few things I have found work well for me. If you would like to learn more, please feel free to reach out for a FREE consultation @ [email protected]
- Create a Prospect List: I know this seems simple but most people fail before they get started because they don't have a list. Know exactly who you are going to call and then call them!!
- Research, Research, Research: Never (NEVER) get on a call with a prospect without first doing your research! Get to know them and/or their business. Look for commonalities like people, interests, organizations, etc. to use as a lever when you call - *pro tip: the best lever is ALWAYS a name!
- Be Persistent: On average, it will take 6 calls for you to successfully reach your prospect - and statistics show that most salespeople give up after two tries. So, KEEP CALLING!
- Create a Script & Practice: Be sure you are prepared when you do connect with your prospect. You have a VERY short window of time to capture their attention - tell them why you are calling and how you can add value to their situation!

Ps.. a "NO" is not a rejection, so don't take it personal. It will take an average of 6-8 touches (contacts) with a prospect to influence a buying decision.
