A little before & after from a renovation project I’ve been helping with.

This wasn’t about making it fancy. The goal was to clear the space, clean things up, and make the property functional so work on the house could keep moving forward.

Along with home and space resets, I also offer project-based add-ons when the job calls for it — light exterior cleanup, porch resets, hauling, simple organizing, shelf installs, and getting spaces cleared so projects can actually move again.

I’m not a landscaping company, but if a space needs to be cleared, cleaned up, organized, or made usable as part of a bigger reset, I’m always willing to help where it makes sense.

Duplex Renovation Reset | Home Reset & Restore LLC

This is the kind of work that says exactly what Home Reset & Restore is about.

This duplex is in the middle of a renovation, and while one side is being worked on, the other side still has to be lived in. That meant the kitchen area had slowly turned into a catch-all for tools, supplies, food, and everything needed to keep the project moving.

The problem was simple: the space wasn’t working anymore.

So I came in and helped bring some order back to it.

I cleared usable space, brought in extra storage, separated kitchen and living items from renovation supplies, and grouped food and everyday items into containers so they were easier to access. The goal wasn’t to make it perfect — the goal was to make it functional while life and work are still happening around it.

I also found some green lights and a few pieces of decor on site, so I added them back in to bring a little coziness to the space. Small touches matter, especially when someone is living through a remodel and just needs one area to feel a little more like home.

This is what a reset can do.

It takes a space that feels cluttered, awkward, or overwhelming and gives it purpose again.

This is the side of Home Reset & Restore that people don’t always think about.

Not every reset is a closet, pantry, or pretty room inside the house. Sometimes it’s an old shed packed with scrap wood, leftover materials, tools, doors, flooring, debris, and years of “we’ll deal with it later.”

For this duplex renovation, the goal was to turn this shed back into usable space — not perfect, not fancy, just functional.

We cleared out debris, sorted usable materials, separated what needed to go, grouped what still had purpose, and opened the space back up so it could actually support the project instead of slowing it down.

This is real reset work.

The kind that helps homeowners, landlords, remodel crews, and property owners get control of the spaces that usually get ignored until they become a problem.

Today’s duplex remodel reset came with a little time capsule.

Some people find loose change.Some people find old receipts.

I found canned goods from 1985 still sitting there like they were waiting on somebody to come back for supper.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite parts of reset work — you never know what a space is holding onto.
Sometimes it is clutter, sometimes it is dust, sometimes it is a whole mystery in a mason jar.

No, I did not open them.
No, I did not taste-test them.
Yes, I absolutely respected their age and backed away politely.

For this reset, the focus was simple: clear the clutter, clean up the cabinets, organize what was already there, add fresh shelf liner where requested, and make the kitchen more functional for the way she actually uses it.

Laundry room reset — built for real life.

This space needed to work as more than just a laundry room. It also holds everyday storage, cleaning supplies, animal feed, and household overflow, so the goal was simple: make it function better.

We sorted, cleared, grouped like items together, opened up the floor space, and created zones that are easier to use and easier to maintain.

One of my favorite parts of this reset was repurposing storage pieces the client already had from other rooms instead of making everything about buying new. We used what was available, added function where it was needed, and created a practical animal feed station with labeled containers so daily routines are easier.

A new shelf is also being added to give the space even more usable storage, and I’m finishing up another area of the home next.

That’s what Home Reset & Restore LLC is about: judgment-free help, realistic systems, and spaces that actually work for the people living in them.
