That's why Modern Marketing Principle 2 is "Value First"

Not coincidental timing that Alan Hennessy chose this quote of mine in his new book that I posted yesterday, about 'the money is not in your email list, it's in the relationship you build with your list"

If you're a business owner marketing your own business, unless you are literally the top business already in your industry (classic 'immutable law of marketing'), being self-aggrandizing is not going to work.

Instead, you need to:
1: show up for your market
2: serve and add value to the relationship to earn the future exchange of business opportunity

That's why you need to start making Customer-Centricity the biggest fundamental element in everything your business does:

Customer-Centricity is about flipping the way you think and talk when it comes to your marketing and all of your communications. But not just that.

Also your products, and the way that you develop your business.

Customer-centricity puts your customers and your target market and your ideal audience at the focal point of everything that you do.

So when you start creating things, whether it's products or programs or marketing messages, whatever it is, you want to make sure you're thinking from your customer's perspective and their point of view.

Humanizing your brand is more important than ever.

AI content is here and growing every day.

How can you compete with sheer volume that will be flooding the market in 2023?

By standing out with your personality.

By creating a connection with your audience.

By developing an authentic relationship with your target customers.

This is no longer an option. It is mandatory.

Start by telling more stories about your life and experiences (and relate them back to your business and lessons for your audience that are relevant). Share more behind the scenes, let people know who you are outside of just your work.
