Founders Bob Rawson and Fred Dick have come a long way from making wine in Bob's garage. After years of honing their craft, the neighbors took the plunge and set up their own winery, Urbano Cellars, in 2006! They focus on creating food-friendly wines that possess character and balance. They strive to source high quality grapes from California vineyards that grow small lots and use sustainable grow
ing practices. Visitors are welcome to gather in The Urbano Cellars Tasting Room Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Tastings are available for you to sample masterfully hand crafted varietals such as Chenin Blanc, Grenache, Sangiovese, Tempranillo and much more. Urbano Cellars is also making some outstanding house wines - 4th Street Red, White, and the limited Rose are available on tap in reusable, larger format, eco-friendly bottles. Everything is made onsite in the urban industrial area of West Berkeley, California. Owners Bob & Fred are usually on site to discuss their process.
