Just the tip of the iceberg... this country is not prepared for the coming tide of aging citizens. This article represents just one of many problems to come.

Having said that, a few years ago, an article in a major media outlet blamed women for the Drs shortage experienced in this country. It's my bet that women, not an aging population, will be blamed again...something to the tune of
*there wouldn't be a crisis if women didnt keep choosing to be doctors [or lawyers, bankers, researchers, etc] instead of nurses.*
Thoughts?

The country has experienced nursing shortages for decades, but an aging population means the problem is about to get much worse.

Three words: *DON'T DO IT*...ok, 4 words: don't do it PLEASE! Why? This is one time *a bird in the hand is worth LESS, not more than one in the bush* If you have the option, it is probably best for your long-term financial security to stay within your defined pension structure.

Traditional pensions are disappearing in America, and the federal government just made it easier for employers to get rid of them.
