Took a big step today at Peterson Electric Panel Mfg. For years we have used polystyrene foam to package our products going to job sites across the country. We have see a huge uptick in business which has forced us to use more product. After some recent thought and searching we have decided to switch to Green Cell Foam eliminating the use of 1/2" and 1" thick polystyrene. This is a great product that dissolves in water after shipping. We are looking to make more changes like these in the future, but it is a first step and excited to use a Made in USA product like Green Cell Foam!

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. Accounting Assistant responsibilities include managing expense reports, entering financial transactions into our internal databases and reconciling invoices. If you have an Accounting degree and are interested in gaining experience in bookkeeping procedures, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help our Accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.

Responsibilities

* Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
* Create and update expense reports
* Entering & verifying shop labor time
* Prepare bank deposits
* Enter financial transactions into internal databases
* Check spreadsheets for accuracy
* Job material and quantity entries
* Issue invoices to customers
* Accounts receivable entry
* Entering material receipts

Skills

* Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
* Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
* Familiarity with finance regulations
* Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
* Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Epicor)
* Organization skills
* Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
* Associates in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
* Proficient in typing including number keypad entry

Full time Sheet Metal Journeyman needed!

Looking for a knowledgeable welder and fabricator that can figure rought cut sizes, punch holes and bend in press brake. We are part of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 73 with all the benefits that come with that.

Applicants to this position must have at least 5 years experience opperating press brakes, large shears and welders. CNC Punch press knowledge is a bonus. Applicants will be asked to figure and manufacture a box with ends to be hired.

The Medical coverage is for the entire family and paid for by the company. Medical coverage may take up to 4 months to start due to union rules.

Full time welder/fabricator needed!

We are looking for someone who is good with a ruler and considers themselves "handy" around the house. In this position you will learn the fundamentals of metal fabrication required to build custom products in the electrical industry. We are part of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 73 with all the benefits that come with that.

A typical day in the life of our workers consists of cutting metal with hydraulic shears, using electric press brakes to bend metal, CNC punch press programing and operation plus welding it all together.

Apprentice Electrician needed for long term employment.
In business for over 100 years Peterson Electric Panel manufactures custom solutions for electric utility and solar companies. In this job you don't do just one thing. You will cut, punch, bend copper, wire and assemble our materials. Every day is different! Currently working 45 hour weeks including Saturday. Overtime is paid at 1.5X normal.
Requirements:
Read a ruler
Add and subtract basic fractions
Decimal to fraction conversion
Basic electrical knowledge is preferred.
