Over the past few years, a range of research have demonstrated that resilience (in addition to motivation and self-control) is as important to our ability to learn and be successful as raw I.Q., and it is probably more malleable. It’s time we take this seriously and commit to building resilience not only within ourselves, but also within our families and communities.
There are strong links between our childhood experiences and adult lives. The emotional basis of success should have a bigger role in education.
