Your RTFD volunteers practiced extrication skills last night. Unfortunately with all of the auto accidents recently in our area, we want to keep are skills sharp and ready for when you need us.

NEEDED!! Trick or treaters and residents to decorate their cars and pass out candy! (A resident of the township passed out around 100 small bags last year).

Trunk or Treat??? In Richfield township we don’t get to see many trick or treaters since houses spread so far apart! I’ve participated in Richfield Township Fire Departments Trunk or Treat the last few years and it’s grown every year. So much fun to see the kiddos and adults dressed up!!

Come out for a family friendly trunk or treat event on Oct 25 from 3p-5p located in the back parking lot of your Richfield Township Fire Department, at 11450 W.Sylvania Ave. if passing out candy please have your car or truck in place by 2:45. Enjoy the afternoon with station tours, crafts, snacks and the decorated trunks with candy from our supportive community.

Any questions please reach out to Jennifer at [email protected]

Please drop off your donations at the station from 8-5:30, make sure your name and phone number is attached to the item. Also…if anyone willing to work a shift to help us out let us know asap. Thanks so much!!!

Today, we recognize National Firefighter Su***de Awareness Day.

Firefighters are trained to run toward what others run from. But the weight of the job doesn’t always stay at the station.

Today, we remember the firefighters we have lost to su***de, stand beside those who are struggling, and remind every firefighter that asking for help is a sign of strength.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out:

📞 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988 for free, confidential support available 24/7.

📱 Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741 for free, confidential, 24/7 support.

🧡 Warriors Heart: Private treatment built exclusively for the Warrior Class, including firefighters and other first responders struggling with addiction and co-occurring conditions such as PTSD. Call 855-610-1003 or visit warriorsheart.com.

To our firefighters: You spend your career showing up for others. You deserve people who will show up for you, too.

Your life matters.
