Continuing to Invest in Safety and Employee Training

At Sirois Tool, safety is an ongoing commitment, not something we address only when an issue arises. One of the ways we continue to strengthen our safety culture is through regular forklift training and certification for our employees. We are fortunate to have Dan on site, who is certified as our Train-the-Trainer and helps provide the knowledge and hands-on training our employees need to safely operate powered industrial trucks.
Forklifts are an important part of our daily operations, but they also present significant safety risks when they are not operated properly. Proper training helps employees understand how to safely operate the equipment, recognize potential hazards, properly handle materials, and work safely around coworkers and other equipment.
Our goal is not simply to meet a training requirement. We want every employee who operates a forklift to understand the responsibility that comes with operating this equipment and to feel confident doing so safely.
Continued training and refresher instruction help reinforce safe habits and keep safety at the forefront of our daily operations. By investing in our employees and providing them with the proper training, we are helping create a safer workplace for everyone.
At Sirois Tool, safety is everyone's responsibility, and ongoing training is an important part of maintaining that commitment.

Congratulations to William on successfully completing his apprenticeship with Sirois Tool and the State of Connecticut and earning his Journeyman Certification as a Precision Grinding Machinist!

This achievement represents years of hard work, dedication, training, and commitment to mastering the trade. To recognize this significant milestone, Sirois Tool proudly presented William with a Gerstner Journeyman Tool Chest in honor of completing the program.

We are incredibly proud of William and all that he has accomplished. His success is a testament to the value of apprenticeship programs and the opportunities available within the manufacturing industry.

A true craftsman, mentor, and friend!

Back on February 24, 2023, we had the opportunity to celebrate Hugh’s 50 years with Sirois Tool — recognizing not only his incredible dedication, but also his knowledge and willingness to teach anyone who asked.

Today, we recognize Hugh once again for an amazing 53 years of dedicated service, continuous effort, and outstanding skill as a Toolmaker by trade.

While today marks the loss of over 53 years of experience in the Toolmaker trade here at Sirois Tool, the knowledge and lessons Hugh shared with so many throughout the years will continue on through those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

It won’t be the same without him here, but we want to thank Hugh for everything he has contributed and wish him all the very best in this next chapter of retirement.
