Estate Sale Tip: Did you know that if a loved one passes away that their homeowner's insurance must be converted to a non-owner occupied policy. Additionally, if they had a car the auto insurance protection ceases at the time of death. More often than not when I arrive sometimes within weeks but sometimes months or more than a year later the family in charge has not made insurance changes and they are driving around in the car. When hiring an Estate Sale Company one of the first questions you should ask is "are you insured", I know I am and I ask the same question of the person in charge of the house we considering working in.
