Carroll County Solid Waste District will hold the quarterly Board meeting on May 19th at 12:00 p.m. The meeting will be held via Zoom and in person.

ALPENA CITY-WIDE CLEAN-UP
April 4, 2026

Get ready to get rid of that extra junk!
ONLY 4 BULKY ITEMS WILL BE PICKED UP:
Bulky items (furniture, lumber scraps, etc.…)
Metal (appliances, lawn chairs, etc.…)
Electronics (TVs, computers, microwaves, etc.…)

There are some things we'll have to leave
We will NOT take:
Tires
Paint
Items that operate on Freon (Refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, etc.…)
Yard waste (limbs, leaves, yard clippings, etc.…)

This is completely free to CCSWD Customers in Alpena
We do have a few rules to follow to keep this event efficient and free.
All items must be out by 6:30 AM Saturday morning. We will be very thorough and will cover every street. Items left after Saturday morning will be the resident's responsibility to remove.

2026 Rate Increase, effective February 1st, is 6.5%

For Wednesday, January 28th:
All Wednesday routes will be attempted. The drivers will attempt to do all of their routes, keeping their safety in mind and the equipment.

We ask for everyone's patience during this time and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Per Mayor McKinney, the CCSWD will have a Special Board Meeting today at 11:00 a.m.

The meeting will be located at 706 S Main, Berryville, at the Administration Office.

January 26th

The Transfer Station and Recycle Center will close today at 2:00 p.m.

The Administrative Office will be open until 4:00 p.m.

Due to inclement weather all County routes will not be run on Monday, January 26th. They will attempt to do Berryville and Eureka Springs. This will be largely dependent on roads and parking lots.

Everyone, please be very careful if you must get out.

Friday, Jan. 23rd = normal routes (the drivers should be done before the system comes in)
