Bertram Volunteer Fire Dept BVFD responds to all 911 calls in the Bertram city limits and surrounding Burnet county.

We are a combination fire department consisting of both career and volunteer firefighters serving the city of Bertram and the surrounding area of Burnet County ESD #4 We also mutual aid for the North End Burnet County Task Force and the surrounding agencies.

A Burn Ban is in effect for all of Burnet County effective October 13, 2026, at 9:10 am.

10/07/2026 at approx 13:15 10000 blk of CR 272, grass fire started by mowing. The fire was extinguished and was about an acre in size.

Due to an abundance of recent rains across the county, the Burnet County Burn Ban has been lifted. Please call the Burnet County Sheriff's Office at (512) 756-8080 to report any planned outdoor burning.

The display will begin at dark, and music will be included as part of the evening. Bring the family, enjoy the celebration, and help us keep the holiday safe for everyone.

A July 4th fireworks display will be held at J.O. Wilson Sports Complex beginning at dark. Community members are invited to enjoy the evening with music and a professional fireworks show.
