The Wash*ta County Task Force deployed yesterday to the Gracemont Fire. Six departments spared equipment and men to help our neighbors. While there we assisted with fire suppression, structural protection, and mopping up of previously burned areas.

As a reminder these fires have ever changing conditions and can turn dangerous instantly. Be aware of these areas and steer clear from them as to make it possible for fire units to respond to incidents in a timely manner.

The outpour of support around these big wildfires has been amazing this year, and we are thankful for everything the public has done for the departments on these fires. Any donations be it monetary or rehab supplies are appreciated and help our departments continue the mission to protect Life and Property.

Today we were honored to represent our community at the OKC 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. We were accompanied by members of the Corn Volunteer Fire Department and the Town of Burns Flat Fire Department . Each participant climbed 110 floors, honoring those who perished in the attacks on 9/11/2001. We climb because they climbed, honoring the commitment to their fellow man, and the ultimate sacrifices that were made that day. Never Forget.

Early this morning members of CFD and Bessie Fire Department completed a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in honor of the lives lost and forever changed on September 11, 2001.

This morning was an opportunity to reflect, remember and honor the sacrifice, service and heroism of that fateful day. Each step was in remembrance of the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, the first responders who answered the call and every person whose life was lost and forever changed.

25 years later, we continue to remember.
We will never forget! 🇺🇸

Thank you to all that came out to Support the Bessie Fire Department. All 1,011 of you.

We still have sausage available for sale. If you can’t catch one of the firemen, you can stop by the Bessie or Cordell COOPs to pick some up.

We still have some shirts available as well if you’re interested in picking one o those up.

It was an interesting evening. We even had some of the retired firemen go back into service to help with a grass fire that occurred during the meal.

My posts sometimes will get taken down when I mention certain words on Facebook so here goes

We will be having a special game for kids tonight at the pancake supper

They’ll have an opportunity to take home a friendly Little Crickett

His name is Jiminy and he only holds a single little .22 at a time.

Each child (16 and under) (with parent’s permission) while coming through the meal line tonight can request an opportunity to take this Little Crickett home.
