DETAILED TIMELINE: It’s a bit of. Roller coaster the next couple of days, but I will have updates every step of the way as we move along. Watching the first batch of steadier showers on radar that should arrive around 8AM in Western CT.

From there we get a mild break before the evening cold front and a very chilly day on Saturday.

NOR'EASTER TIMELINE: As promised, I did the best I could to time out the impacts for the upcoming storm. Key point is that this is a long duration event. I would consider Saturday a complete washout at this point. I was a little more optimistic yesterday about Sunday, but the trends have been to keep rain showers over the area through at least Sunday evening.

Thanks Stony Hill Landscaping LLC for sponsoring this post. Leaves will be coming down with the upcoming storm. Schedule your fall cleanup with Jake and Stony Hill Landscaping today.

ON TO THE NEXT ONE! 👊🔥

Our masonry team absolutely crushed it over the last few weeks installing this beautiful Unilock driveway.

A driveway like this is about a lot more than just what you see on the surface. We installed proper drainage, brought in all-new base material, established the correct pitch for water runoff, and finished it off with a beautiful Unilock paver installation, Field Stone retaining wall, Belgian Block apron and paved the roadside to match.

The result? A beautiful, long-lasting driveway built the right way by the Stony Hill Landscaping Team.

Another transformation complete — on to the next one! If you’re looking to create an outdoor living space, Your own paver driveway or even a simple fire pit give Stony Hill a call.

Happy Friday Everyone!

GOOD MORNING! Your Friday looks pleasant across Connecticut, with plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and highs in the mid to upper 70s. Friday night will be clear and cool, with many areas dropping into the lower 50s. Saturday also looks good for the vast majority of the day. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s, so daytime Saturday plans remain in good shape.

Our thinking that most of the rain would hold off until Saturday night appears to be working out. Showers should become more widespread after 2 AM Saturday night, with the steadiest rain continuing into early Sunday morning. Around a half inch of rain is possible in many areas with locally higher amounts possible.

The timing is also becoming more favorable for Sunday plans, with most of the rain currently expected to move out around or shortly after 9 AM Sunday. Conditions should improve considerably afterward, with some sunshine possible during the afternoon and highs approaching 80 degrees.

Cooler and drier weather follows Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the lower to mid-70s. Temperatures rebound toward 80 Wednesday before our next chance for showers arrives Thursday.

Thanks Stony Hill Landscaping LLC for sponsoring this post. My lawn has continued to grow like crazy even through the "dry season" when things usually turn a bit brown in August and September. Thanks Jake and his team at Stony Hill for keeping it in check.

GOOD MORNING AND TGIF! Today will be partly sunny with highs in the lower 80s. A few scattered showers or thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon, mainly after 2 PM, but much of the day should remain dry. Any lingering activity should fade Friday evening, followed by clearing skies and cooler overnight temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

The weekend looks fantastic across Connecticut. Saturday will feature plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and highs around 80 degrees. Sunday looks nice as well, with sunny skies and temperatures warming into the lower to mid-80s. The European model brings some showers and storms in late Sunday, but right now this doesn't have much support from other guidance.

Our weather pattern becomes more unsettled once again next week. Monday should still feature a decent amount of dry weather, but scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon and evening.

Rain chances increase Tuesday into Wednesday. Several rounds of showers will be possible, with thunderstorms potentially mixed in at times. Wednesday currently looks like the wettest day of the period, although confidence in the exact timing and coverage remains relatively low this far out.

Thanks Stony Hill Landscaping LLC for sponsoring this post. With nearly 25 inches of rain at my house in the last two months, the grass has been out of control. Thanks Jake and his team at Stony Hill for keeping it in check.
