On behalf of Sigma Upsilon Alpha, we are pleased to extend a warm invitation to our annual Spring Lecture, taking place on Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:00 PM in the Sally Breidegam Center for Health Sciences, Room 117.

We will be examining the reality of human trafficking in the Lehigh Valley, guided by a local subject matter expert who will speak to its true prevalence and the resources available within our own community. Awareness is the first step toward meaningful change. This conversation is open to all who are willing to learn, to confront the impact this issue has on our region, and to understand the support systems that exist for those affected. We hope that you will join us.

Out of the Darkness Walk for Su***de Prevention: Please save the date for Saturday, April 5, 0900-1200 at Cedar Creek Park in Allentown. The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention (AFSP) raises awareness of su***de, provides education and support for survivors of su***de loss, and funds research. Annual walks in the Lehigh Valley are a joint venture of local colleges/universities and Sigma Nursing Organizations to educate and support efforts for the prevention of su***de. 💜

🚨 Join Sigma UA in Supporting Mo's Cupboard! 🚨

Sigma UA is teaming up with Mo's Cupboard from November 11th to 26th to support its mission of reducing financial barriers for students. Mo's Cupboard provides shelf-stable food, toiletries, and other essentials to Moravian students in need. It’s a great way for us to give back to the community! I have attached a flyer created by our ABSN student, Kaitlyn DeCesaris (Nemes), who also came up with the idea for this partnership!

They need the following items:
🔹 Canned Goods: tuna, chicken, soup, beans, vegetables, mixed fruit, applesauce
🔹 Dry Goods: oatmeal, granola bars, cereal cups, rice packets, pasta, mac & cheese, ramen, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, jam, cooking oils, assorted spices
🔹 Toiletries: deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, lip balm, shaving cream
