Nassau County RACES and ARES held a combined meeting last night July 11 at Nassau County OEM . Several topics were discussed and we hope to do this again in the future. Thanks to
the leadership of both organizations for making this happen.

At the June 6, 2024, RACES monthly meeting, we discussed upcoming events like the 2024 ARRL Field Day weekend and conducted a training session to refresh our CERT basic skills, with an emphasis on S&R part 2, to ensure we are always prepared for any situation.

Join us at the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach on May 25 & 26, 2024, where Nassau County RACES and CERT will have a booth set up on the boardwalk by the west games playground.

05/11/2024. We thank all the parties (OEM, GSBARC and RACES )That took part in another successful amateur RADIO technical class session and test. GSBARC for teaching the class and the VE’s. Nassau County OEM for hosting the class. And RACES for coordinating it and most importantly the Coffee and donuts! This collaboration has once again resulted with a 100 % pass rate. Congratulations and welcome to all the new HAM’s!

This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and we here at the love our staff in the Communications Bureau! 🚓📞🚑

They deploy our officers and police medics to accidents, crime scenes, and other emergencies, and they're the reassuring voices you hear when you call 911. They are there for us - and you! - every day, overnight, on weekends, and holidays.

Emergency dispatchers are truly the unsung heroes of public safety and are the very first of the first responders! Please join us in thanking all of the hardworking members of our Communications Bureau for all that they do!
