One of the takeaways from his time in Berkeley came from an unexpected source: a thoughtful school project on greenwashing by 15-year-old Lucy, the daughter of longtime friends. Set across three levels and roughly 9,000 sq. ft., this residence balances tradition with open-concept family living. This English Arts & Crafts Revival project balances preservation and expansion, integrating a substantial addition while maintaining the character of the original residence and its setting. New spaces open to a generous south-facing lawn, complemented by stone-paved terraces and a new pool; while carefully crafted details add moments of surprise and richness.
