PSA: The phishing scams are getting scary good.

Recently, A Meta Executive got a call from someone, claiming their Google account was compromised. They emailed him from what looked like a real Google address and sent him a link on an actual google.com domain. Told him to change his password—but not say it out loud.

That’s how slick the scam was.

Real email. Real link. Real convincing. Still a total fraud.

Protect yourself:

Never trust unsolicited calls about security.
Don’t click links in unexpected emails—even Google ones.
Never change your password while someone’s on the phone with you.
Use 2FA. Always.

Banks, airports, TV stations, hotels, and numerous other businesses are experiencing extensive IT outages, resulting in grounded flights and significant disruptions, due to widespread errors on Windows machines.

In the early hours of Friday, companies in Australia using Microsoft’s Windows operating system began reporting Blue Screens of Death (BSODs). Soon after, reports of disruptions poured in from around the world, including the UK, India, Germany, the Netherlands, and the US.
