Birthwork training has expanded rapidly.
New certifications, specialized courses, and niche programs now exist across nearly every part of the perinatal ecosystem.
That growth is a good thing.
But it has also created a new challenge: credential visibility.
Most training programs verify their graduates internally. Records live inside each organization. Outside those systems, it becomes difficult to confirm what training someone has completed, what certification means, or whether credentials are current.
The result isn’t weak training.
It’s fragmented verification.
As the birthwork field continues to grow, shared credential transparency becomes more important — for providers, training organizations, agencies, and the families they ultimately serve.
