This time of year can be filled with joy but also exhaustion.
We often do not have time to focus on our own professional branding like Santa does!
Santa’s professional brand evokes joy and is built around spreading cheer, celebrating, and bringing a spark of magic to children’s lives (and many adults, as well!)
Even though I get stressed out with holiday shopping, my intention is to still radiate my brand of resilience, leadership, and integrity.
In the sprit of the season, here are three lessons that we can learn from Santa about professional branding and how we can apply them to our own careers:
🎅🏻 Be consistent.
Santa has a consistent image, message, and personality that he maintains throughout the year. He does not change his appearance, his values, or his mission. He is always recognizable, reliable, and trustworthy. He also delivers on his promises and meets his deadlines. We can learn from Santa to be consistent with our own professional branding and to align our actions with our words.
🎅🏻 Be memorable.
Santa has a memorable name, logo, slogan, and story that he uses to differentiate himself from others. He also has a unique value proposition and a niche market that he serves. He knows his audience and what they want and need. He also uses humor, emotion, and storytelling to connect with his audience and to create memorable experiences. We can learn from Santa to be memorable with our own professional branding and to stand out from the crowd.
🎅🏻 Be generous.
Santa is generous with his time, his resources, and his gifts. He is always giving, sharing, and helping others. He also shows appreciation and gratitude to his team, his partners, and his customers. He also listens to feedback and adapts to changing needs and preferences. He also creates a community and a culture of generosity around him. We can learn from Santa to be generous with our own professional branding and to add value to others.
