A great weekend of cross country schooling and showing at Groton House Farm. Proud of our horses, riders, and the incredible support team behind them.

We’re lucky to have such a strong, dedicated barn family. Weekends like this remind us why we love what we do.

New kiddo Chance had a marvelous first outing at Appleton yesterday! He was a confident leader the entire time, even while encountering some scary pigs!

Pine Tree Equestrian Center in Beverly, MA is looking for a full time, self motivated, reliable individual to add to our team! We are a well established boarding facility on the North Shore that has a busy riding program as well. We focus on eventing/dressage, while also incorporating natural horsemanship and positive reinforcement.

Chores include turn in/out, cleaning paddocks/stalls, grooming, tacking up, and teaching (as appropriate based on applicant’s ability). There would also be opportunities to apprentice under our head instructor if the individual were interested in getting their instructors license (if not already licensed).

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have reliable transportation. Prior horse experience required. Compensation dependent on experience. Great opportunity for the right candidate!

✨🐴✨🐴 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙡𝙮 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙞𝙥 ✨🐴✨🐴

𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚.

When you truly understand what your horse is going through—whether it’s confusion, tension, or just a tough day—it becomes much easier to meet them with patience instead of frustration.

Empathy isn’t just a warm-and-fuzzy concept. 𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡, 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙗𝙤𝙭. When you approach your horse’s struggles from a place of understanding, you open the door to more consistent communication and trust.

But here’s the catch: 𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚. It takes intention, awareness, and sometimes a hard look at how we react when things don’t go to plan.

Curious how this plays out in the real world of horse training—and how to build your empathy muscle? Check out my blog post: https://www.chelseacanedy.com/post/persist-with-patient-consistency
