French farms is so excited to partner with Kittle farms on the beauty.

Just a few weeks ago at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, we were fortunate to view a Red Purebred Gelbvieh heifer who we strongly felt had elite donor potential. Today, Kittle Farms (Geraldine, Alabama) and French Farm’s Gelbvieh Operations (Big Clifty, Kentucky) teamed to purchase that 11 month old heifer, PHG Gabby G54, as the High Selling Lot ($14,500) in the Prairie Hills Gelbvieh Annual Sale in Dickinson, North Dakota.

In Denver, Gabby gained much attention as the lead heifer in Prairie Hills’ Champion Pen of Three. She becomes the first daughter of the record setting $44,000 Exact Combination sire to sell in the United States - and she features an EPD profile that will be difficult for any red donor to match, as she pairs double digit Calving Ease with top 5 percent Performance traits, exceptional Carcass Traits all inside the top 15 percent, and a Feeder Profit Index ranking her in the Top 3 percent of the Gelbvieh breed.

2020 marks the 35 year anniversary of the Prairie Hills program in North Dakota. Klint Sickler of Prairie Hills has praised Gabby as being one of the most promising young females to ever come through their program. On behalf of Kittle Farms and French Farms, we are appreciative to the Sickler family and Prairie Hills Gelbvieh for producing and offering such an impressive young Gelbvieh female.

One week ago today we introduced the partnership onJEMG LeeAnn 650u. Today we revel some more exciting news for French Farms!!

It is with excitement that is very hard to contain within the last few weeks that French Farms has yet again partnered with Dustin Kittle and Kittle Farms on KCF Miss Fortune U490. Undoubtedly the most influential female that has ever hit the Gelbvieh breed!!

KCF Miss Fortune is one of the most accomplished donor females in the history of the Gelbvieh breed. Miss Fortune was the record selling $20,000 female at the 2014 National Gelbvieh and Balancer sale in Denver, Colorado.

Among her list of superlatives, Miss Fortune’s 2011 son, Bennett Y504, was the high selling bull in the 2012 Knoll Crest Farms bull sale and currently serves as the AI Qualified resident Balancer here sire at Knoll Crest Farms in Red House, Virginia. Miss Fortune followed with her 2012 son being the high selling purebred Gelbvieh bull to Flying H Genetics (Arapahoe, Nebraska) and Knoll Crest Farms in the 2013 Knoll Crest Farms Bull Sale.

In 2015 Miss Fortune had three(3) AI Sires, Four(4) Donor Dams all out of seventeen(17) live calves registered to her name.

Following her purchase by J&K Gelbvieh Inc. (Ava,Illinois) in the National Sale, Miss Fortune again delivered in the 2016 Genetic Power Bull Sale in Springfield, Missouri. At the sale, a Miss Fortune son, JKGF New Horizon C51, was the high selling $29,000 purebred Gelbvieh bull and six ET sons out of Miss Fortune averaged more than $11,000.

Miss Fortune U490 was well represented again in the 2017 at the Genetic Power Bull Sale in Springfield, Missouri. Eleven(11) sons out of Miss Fortune sold for an average of $7,840 and a total of $86,250. Also, for the second straight year, a Miss Fortune sonwas the highest selling bull overall, as JKGF Cheif Justice C205 sold for a sale record $32,000.

It is simple to see why when French Farms has the opportunity to partner on a female of this magnitude that we jumped right on board.

Well as promised the other night when I said French Farms is working on some things that we are very excited about and for everybody to keep a eye out. The time has come to let some of the news out!!!

It is with great excitement that we introduce to everybody that over the weekend French Farms has partnered up with Dustin Kittle and Kittle Farms on JEMG Lee Ann 650u.

Lee Ann is generally regarded as one of the elite females in the Gelbvieh breed, as she has produced three (3) AI sires and numerous daughters who are serving as donors.

French Farms would like to thank Dustin Kittle, Kittle Farms and J&K Gelbvieh for giving us this opportunity to own a part in a donor of this caliber!! Within the next few months she will be flushed so keep your eyes open for a chance to buy embryos off this highly regarded female.

Left yesterday morning with a few stops in mind. One of the stops found us at J&K Farms!! If you have never been to Jerry and Karen Wilson’s it’s worth the time to go. Keep your eyes open in the next few months French Farms is working on some things that we are pretty excited about!!
