I’m asking for a little help.
Every year I provide the sound, lighting, monitors, microphones, stands, cables and stage production for the Biloxi Box Set Music Festival. This year it runs September 10–12, with three days of music and ten different performances on the beach.
It’s a lot of equipment, a lot of hours, and this year I’ll also need additional crew to keep everything running the way it should.
So I’m trying something different.
I’m asking my friends, local businesses and anyone who loves live music to help us fund the stage. Our goal is $5,000.
And this is bigger than paying for speakers and lights.
Biloxi Box Set is now in its 8th year, and the money raised by this year’s festival supports veterans across the Mississippi Gulf Coast as we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11. (Towns Around Biloxi Parrot Head Club)
The lineup this year includes Dave Freeman, Crow the Culprit, John Patti, Brent Burns & Bill Whyte, Kristie Kraus & Danny Spiro, Donny Brewer Trio, Kitty Steadman, Gram Rea & Friends, Carrie Welling and the Jonas Lorence Band. That’s three days of music that somebody has to put through a PA, light, monitor and keep moving from one act to the next. (Towns Around Biloxi Parrot Head Club)
If you own a business
We have opportunities to put your company directly behind the entertainment:
$2,500 Presenting Stage Sponsor
Prominent stage banner and signage with repeated recognition from the stage.
$1,000 Entertainment Sponsor
Logo recognition on banners and signs, stage announcements and event-shirt recognition.
$500 Featured Artist Sponsor
Help sponsor a performance and receive signage, stage recognition and event-shirt recognition.
The festival also has its regular sponsorship program with admission passes, website and Facebook exposure, tent space and shirt placement depending on the sponsorship level.
But you do NOT have to own a business.
$20 helps.
$50 helps.
$100 helps.
Every single donation helps.
If 50 friends throw in $20, that’s $1,000.
If ten businesses step up with $500, we’ve funded the whole thing.
It all adds up.
There is one deadline I need everyone to know about: if your business wants to be included on the official event shirt, I need payment and camera-ready artwork by Thursday, August 27.
We’ll also be recognizing our entertainment sponsors with banners, signage and announcements throughout the weekend.
Check, PayPal and Venmo are available. Message me and I’ll get you the details.
If you can help, please do.
If you can’t donate but know a business that might, tag them.
If you can’t do either, share this post.
I’ve got the PA. I’ve got the lights. I’ve got the stage covered.
Now I need a little help putting the music on it.
Let’s raise $5,000 and make this one hell of a weekend for a cause that matters.
