This past week, Jbodyrc put up a $50 Bonus at Pheasantland RC Park, and what a show it turned out to be!
The BL-2 Mudboss division drew an impressive 18-car field, with the majority of drivers sporting Jbody Mudboss bodies on their cars. The strong turnout required a C-Main, B-Main, and A-Main. The racing was outstanding all night long! When the dust settled, the top 7 of 8 finishing positions in the A-Main were swept by Jbodyrc customers and drivers!
We would like to give a huge congratulations to Dave “The Intimidator” Dries, piloting the Gold 3D, whose ride had a striking resemblance to Dale Earnhardt’s iconic entry at The Winston All-Star Race in 1998.
Dave spent most of the A-Main battling back and forth among the leaders, keeping himself in contention throughout the race.
Late in the race, an intense, multiple-lap battle for the lead between Aaron Roshong and Jbodyrc owner Pete Ludwig resulted in a slight tangle. As if the Ghost of Dale Earnhardt himself had a hand in it!
In that moment, Dave had been putting together a late-race charge and he had found himself in the right place at the right time! Once Dave got out front, he checked out and never looked back, as no one was able to “Rattle His Cage.”
In all, congratulations to Dave Dries on earning the $50 Jbody Bonus and an impressive A-Main victory! Dave, a regular competitor during the winter season, had yet to race at PRCP this summer. That makes his performance even more impressive, as he was able to roll his car out of the shop after months away from competition and drive it straight to Victory Lane! Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the BL-2 class, and put on a great show!
I would also like to extend a huge thank you to the entire Pheasantland RC Park team! On short notice, PRCP was able to move the event indoors due to inclement weather, ensuring that the racing could continue without missing a beat.
They are building an outstanding RC facility to serve all RC racers and enthusiasts. I’d especially like to recognize the clean and well-maintained kitchen, along with the friendly and efficient staff behind the counter who are always ready to take care of racers’ food and beverage needs.
The hobby shop’s new look is also coming together very nicely. The upgrades and improvements made to the entire facility over the past several months have significantly enhanced the overall experience for everyone who walks through the doors. We look forward to watching Pheasantland RC Park continue to grow and improve!
