Standard PVC strips are not designed to perform long-term in freezer environments.

The problem usually shows up gradually:

❌ strips become stiff, especially after long exposure to cold
❌ cracks appear in the main traffic zones
❌ gaps start to form between strips
❌ sealing performance drops
❌ replacement cycles become shorter than expected

The issue is not always the installation. In many cases, it is the material.

As temperatures drop, standard PVC loses flexibility. The strip becomes harder, less responsive to impact, and more likely to crack in areas with repeated movement.
