Here’s your opportunity to help make prom a dream come true for a deserving young lady.

D.A.D.Y. Will make a girl’s dream come true by providing a complete makeover.

Makeover Includes:

📸Prom Night Photo Package (minimum price)

‼️Qualifications

✅A WCHS Jr. or Sr. With A/B Grade Average

✅Lives with single mom, grandmother, aunt, or guardian.

✅Father not present in the home or not actively involved in girl’s life.

✅1 -2 Paragraph Essay entitled “Why My Dream Should Come True” (Can be written and submitted by an adult)

If you would like to nominate a girl who’s mom is not in financial position to cover her prom expenses please tell us why we should make her girl’s Prom Dream come true in a 2 paragraph essay.

Ok ok. Hold ya tears.

Do you all remember in 2020
when Girl, Affirm YourSelf! Inc and The D.A.D.Y. Movement mailed out HAND WRITTEN letters, cards, and care packages to 28 High School Senior Girl Graduates?

Letters went out to girls in GA, AL, & FL.

These girls were daughters of Absentee Dads. With the exception of 2.

Due to the pandemic their High School Graduations were cancelled. They didn’t get the opportunity to march.

I received a text in January of this year from one of our girls that I personally sent a letter to, Makayla Yelder from Oak Hill, AL.

She had plans to attend college to be a Graphic Designer.

Guess what?

She wanted to let me know that she has graduated college as a Graphic Designer!

But wait, That’s not all!

She graduated with honors (Cum Laude🥳)

Some of the event flyers that you see me post for the brunch series were created by her. She stepped in to assist my team last year while my graphic person was out of office.

When asked what my purpose is?

This is it! If I could do THIS every day for the rest of my life I would!

The girls are my heart! Especially “Home Girls”/66Chics

Please help me congratulate Makayla and wish her well in this new chapter!

It’s with a heavy heart that I type this post.

Unfortunately, I am unable to be present but I’m sending my condolences, thoughts, and prayers for strength, peace, and comfort to the family and friends of Kayla Perryman as you gather to celebrate her life and legacy. Kayy Pe has shaken all of us with this one.

I hold dear in my heart the many deep conversations we had Girl. I appreciate the trust you had to confide and recieve wise counsel from me. Kayla was such a beautiful person inside and out. I admired her creativity and drive to use her gifts. Even through her many challenges she continued to smile, laugh, and do good to and for others.

This image of her is from her attendance at the Montgomery, AL Goal Friends Brunch in 2022. She became a Signature Sister of the Montgomery Chapter within my organization The Girl, Affirm YourSelf! Creu. Due to life changes and her health concerns she couldn’t be as active as she desired to be. She made sure to communicate with me to keep me updated and was a committed and valued sponsor for our annual Dream Come True Prom Makeover Projects.

Kayla has touched many lives in many ways during her time on earth so I know the angels in heaven are happy to have her. Rest well beautiful soul. You’ve left a legacy of kindness and generosity that many will cherish forever.

💜Oh, and I know you’ll represent us well walking through dem pearly gates cuz one thing you LOVED to do for sho is “PUT IT ON” and gone STEP PRETTY!
