Garrett’s Honor Walk ❤️

Friday at 3:00 PM, Garrett will take his final walk at St. Vincent’s East in Birmingham.

There will be an Honor Walk as Garrett is taken to the operating room to become an organ donor. It is one of the hardest things I have ever had to accept, knowing that this walk means we are saying goodbye to our Garrett.

But Garrett’s story will not end in that hallway.

Because of him, at least eight other people will have a chance at life. Eight families will get more time with someone they love because Garrett gave the ultimate gift.

After everything Garrett has been through… all the hospital stays, surgeries, setbacks, fear, pain, and fighting… he is still giving. He is still helping others. He is still making a difference.

Friday will break our hearts. But we will walk beside him with pride, with love, and with gratitude for the beautiful life he has given us.

If you are able to come and stand in the hallway for Garrett’s Honor Walk at 3:00, please do. And if you can’t be there, please stop for a moment wherever you are and think of Garrett.

Pray for Garrett. Pray for the people receiving his gifts. And pray for all of us who have to learn how to live in a world without him.

Our boy will always be our boy.
And his love will live on. ❤️

Ralph Lauren has unveiled a collaboration with world-renowned textile artists from Gee’s Bend, featuring a limited-edition collection that transforms the Alabama community’s century-old quilting tradition into contemporary apparel and home goods.

The collection partners Ralph Lauren with fourth-generation textile artist Claudia Pettway Charley and fifth-generation artist Loretta Pettway Bennett, both known for quilts that are globally recognized as an American high art form, according to a news release.
