Are you interested in a future trail connecting Birmingham to Anniston?

Sweet Trails Alabama is a statewide initiative to build a network of trails connecting all 67 counties, linking communities and major destinations across Alabama. As part of this effort, a feasibility study is underway to explore a potential trail from Birmingham to Anniston.

A feasibility study evaluates the practicality of a project by examining technical, economic, legal, and operational factors. This process helps establish a clear path forward, including potential funding opportunities. Your feedback is essential to ensure the project reflects community needs and resources.

It has been an exciting week along the Pinhoti Trail! Last Thursday, we celebrated the designation of Flagg Moutain as the official southern gateway to the trail & yesterday we were scoping out the upcoming enhancements around Jogloma - Scott Lake! MLD is proud to be a part of working with & the other parters to elevate the user experience along the trail.

We’re thrilled to see the community enjoying the new Coca-Cola Amphitheater! This state-of-the-art venue is already buzzing with energy—hosting concerts, events, and bringing people together right in the heart of downtown.
From the design and construction phases to the first live show, it’s been an honor to be part of a project that’s adding so much vibrancy to the city. Seeing folks gather, celebrate, and enjoy live entertainment here is why we love doing what we do. Thankful to the BJCC & City of Birmingham for the opportunity to be the Landscape Architects for this project. We can’t wait for everyone to see what’s next in store for The Star Uptown!
