Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Job description:
We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated truck driver to serve our company in a safe and timely manner. Previous experience with log truck and flat bed, curtain trailer. Willing to train the right candidate. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities:
-Transport logs, lumber and other raw materials over land to and from other plants, mills, retail or distribution center.
-Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
-Document and log work periods and miles spent driving, retain fuel/toll receipts and submit to the office
-Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
-Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
-Collect and verify delivery instructions
-Report defects, accidents or violations

Applicants must have:
-Proven work experience as a truck driver
-Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
-Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
-Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
-No recent moving or driving violations. -Applicant will submit to a driving history check.
-Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
-Valid Class A CDL truck driving license and current medical card
-Be able to pass a drug/alcohol screening as determined by the DOT.
