Please report and block this text message if you get it!! NC will not send you a text or e-mail message about traffic tickets or toll fines. Don't reply to them in any manner - if you do, the scammer will know your phone number is valid. Of course, this will open you up to more scam solicitations.
Remember:
*NC will not send a text message telling you to pay a fine online.
*There is no NC State Admin Code 15C-16.003.
*NC DMV is not responsible for fining drivers for traffic tickets.
*In NC, if you don't go to court, a warrant may be issued for failure to appear.
*When this happens, you won't get a text notice - instead, you will likely be taken to jail during a routine traffic stop so the warrant can be served.
*The court can order your driver's license suspended if you fail to appear.
