Last week, Cedar Growth traveled to Bangor, Maine, to attend Oweesta Corporation 's Capital Access Convening alongside our Wisconsin partners from Woodland Financial Partners , Wisconsin Native Loan Fund , and Wisconsin Indigenous Housing & Economic Development Corporation.

The convening brought together Native CDFIs from across Turtle Island to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and celebrate innovative ways communities are expanding access to capital, housing, and economic opportunity. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from the incredible work being done by fellow Native CDFIs and look forward to bringing new ideas and insights back to the communities we serve. Our own Outreach & Marketing Manager, Ava Belisle, hosted a break out session about the next generation stepping into the Native CDFI space.

Last week we hosted a collaborative meeting titled “Bridging the Gap: Housing Solutions” with the Ho-Chunk Nation Department of Housing and the Ho-Chunk Housing and Community Development Agency to discuss how our programs align and where we can better support one another in serving the Ho-Chunk community.

The conversation focused on strengthening partnerships, improving access to housing resources, and identifying practical ways to coordinate efforts so families can more easily connect to the support they need.

Pinagigi for the opportunity to come together, share ideas, and continue building pathways that expand housing access and long-term stability for the communities we serve.
