One of my biggest takeaways from the YouTube conference in New York?

Stop waiting for customers to search for you. Go find them.

Not everyone is ready to buy today. The opportunity is getting in front of the right people before they start searching.

Build awareness. Create demand. Stay top of mind.

The best customer isn’t always the one searching. Sometimes, you have to find them first.

Paid media is easy to measure.

Knowing whether it actually caused the sale? That’s harder.

The most honest way we’ve found to answer that question is through holdout testing.

After running tests across tens of millions in ad spend, my team turned the process into a framework you can use yourself.

Real tests. Real data. No recycled industry benchmarks.

14 years. 2 employees. And big dreams.

What started as a small idea has grown into something so much bigger than we could have imagined. We’ve watched this company grow, change, and evolve over the years, but one thing has always stayed the same: the people who make this place feel like home.

Here’s to 14 years of growth, memories, challenges, wins, and most importantly, the people who made it all possible.

Happy 14th anniversary to us!

Not every conversion means your marketing created new demand.

Sometimes, you did the hard work upfront: built the brand, generated awareness, and got the customer interested.

Then they searched for you, clicked your ad, and your reporting gave that campaign all the credit.

That’s not necessarily growth. It can be a tax on demand you already created.

The better question is: what actually drove the customer to search in the first place?

Last-click says non-brand is a waste.

Our holdouts said otherwise.

In some cases, non-brand was over 100% incremental.

That’s the difference between measuring what gets credit and measuring what actually creates demand.

Comment “blend” for the method.

Brand search looks amazing in your dashboard.

But how much demand are you actually creating?

Our holdout test found:

84% would have happened anyway.
16% was incremental.

Measure the demand you create, not just the demand you capture.

Your blended ROAS might be lying to you.

Not because the number is wrong, but because it combines two very different things:

Demand you already owned.
Demand your marketing created.

Blend them together, and the number can look a lot better than the reality.

ROAS looks great on a dashboard. But does it tell the whole story?

We analyzed nearly $50M in e-commerce ad spend to find out.

Over the next few weeks, I’m breaking down what the holdout tests actually showed, including a few results we didn’t expect.

Follow along. The numbers might change how you think.

Comment BLEND and we’ll send you the report when it drops.

The goal is not to let AI do all the thinking.

The goal is to use AI to handle the tedious parts and help your team move with more clarity and speed.

That is what we mean by a force multiplier.
