We were honored to have Matt and Bill represent GenoSource at the Iowa State Capitol as Governor Kim Reynolds signed several important agriculture bills into law this week. These legislative efforts continue to strengthen Iowa agriculture and support the farmers who drive our state's economy forward! 👏

One of the measures we're especially excited about is the approval of increased weight limits for fluid milk hauling permits beginning in 2027, helping create greater efficiency in transporting one of Iowa's most important agricultural products. This commonsense change will help support dairy producers, processors, and rural communities across the state.

Thank you to Governor Reynolds and Iowa's legislators for their continued commitment to agriculture and for working alongside industry leaders to ensure Iowa remains the best place in the nation to farm, innovate, and grow 🇺🇸🌱🐄

The last few weeks Farnear TBR Aria Adler RC EX-96 has had some special visitors! Our long-time friend and business partner, Adolf Langhout of A.L.H. Genetics B.V. visited in early May. Then last week Amanda Hauck, our Bull Program Director, brought her daughter, Emerson, and her two nieces, along with her brother up to the farm to give them a tour. Adler is a fan favorite around here!

We’ve worked with Paul for well over a decade, he was a great friend and someone we always looked forward to collaborating with, always sharing ideas and stories to better both our farms. We would visit OHC and he would visit our farm regularly throughout the years and it was always time we truly enjoyed. He was always so proud of STgenetics Ohio Heifer Center and the growth he led but even more of his team and was they worked towards every day. We are keeping his family and his team at OHC in our prayers and plan to enjoy a really great cigar in his honor 🕊️🤍

It is with our deepest regrets that today we remember and honor the life of Paul Detwiler — a respected leader, mentor, colleague, and friend whose impact reached far beyond our organization.

As General Manager of the Ohio Heifer Center for over 15 years, Paul was the driving force, visionary, and steadfast hand behind the development and growth of one of the dairy industry’s leading operations. Through his undeniable passion and dedication, he helped build a program that has become a shining example of innovation, technology, and genetic advancement within the dairy industry.

But above all, Paul will be remembered for the way he led: with humility, authenticity, kindness, and genuine care for others. He was deeply respected by teammates, customers, and partners across the industry, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire all of us.

We extend our sincere condolences to Paul’s family, Shelly, Jake, Luke, and his grandkids, his friends, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on through the countless people he mentored, the friendships he built, and the lasting impact he made on the dairy industry he loved so deeply.

Thank you, Paul for all you did for us. Your legacy will never be forgotten. 💙
