Today was the grand reopening at Walmart Blairsville! After months of renovations, the work is finally finished. Thank you to the Walmart staff for a great ceremony and for all you do for our community! Thanks for all the donations made to different organizations around town, and for a wonderful morning filled with fun!

And don’t worry! The aisles and products are staying put from now on! Go check it out if you haven’t been yet!

🚧 It’s time for another Downtown Blairsville, GA Construction Update with Ralston & Stephanie! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

We’re keeping you informed as work continues to improve Downtown Blairsville. Beginning Monday, September 28, a lane closure will go into effect on Blue Ridge Street from Town Square to Earnest Street

🚗 What you need to know:

* The exit from the Town Square onto Blue Ridge Street will be CLOSED.
* Traffic on Blue Ridge Street between Earnest Street and the Town Square will be ONE WAY - EASTBOUND ONLY.
* A detour will be in place using Cleveland Street to Hunt-Martin Street.
* This phase is expected to last at least 3–4 months while storm drainage and concrete replacement work is completed.

Most importantly, we want you to know...DOWNTOWN BLAIRSVILLE WILL BE OPEN! 🩵Our shops, restaurants and businesses are ready to welcome you throughout construction. *A SIDEWALK WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE DOWN BLUE RIDGE ST.* Please continue to shop local, dine local and support the businesses that make our downtown so special.

This new addition to the school will teach skills vital to the production of our local farmers as the next generation learns the most up to date technology and growing techniques for crops. 25 years ago, our nation was shocked by the sudden attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. Today, we remember the tragic events of that moment where thousands of people lost their lives in senseless violence.

The 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at Union County High School was dedicated to both understanding the tragedy of that day as well as honoring those who lost their lives, especially the first responders who willingly went in to danger to save those trapped inside the towers.

We want to thank all our first responders in our community for their service to our people. Their commitment to saving lives while risking theirs does not go unnoticed, and we are forever grateful for their service. For all those who gave their lives on that day to rescue others and took up the call to serve our nation since, thank you for your commitment to this nation.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸
