Our first ever field trip presentation was a success!
We got to travel to the beautiful little shop Rustic Mountain Decor in Merchants Walk owned by our very own June and Jim McEldowney. While eating breakfast we got to learn some personal background behind the making of the shop. Then we traveled to the shop where we got to see and hear about the amazing things they have going on there.

Our lovely June has made sure that all the products there start with the local vendors first from handmade soaps to wooden picture frames made by Jim himself. Jim in the back of the shop has his cabinet business where you can select from every style and material available. He has the process down and covered from start to finish.

A big thank you to our own Madison Anderson, Executive Director of the Georgia Mountain Pregnancy Center, for sharing a wonderful presentation with our group. She updated us on all the new projects her non-profit organization is working on, their current goals, and the events they have planned.

Madison highlighted their new sponsorship program in place to help reach larger goals such as adding a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to support their growing mission. They are also seeking community partnerships to help expand services, strengthen their reach, and increase youth outreach to better support young people in our area.

Next year marks their 10‑year anniversary, celebrating a decade of service, growth, and impact in our community. You can join in the celebration being held on April 1, 2027.

A huge THANK YOU to one of our newest members, Ellen Bendana, for delivering such an informative presentation last week. Ellen, together with Abby McGahee of MASA Transportation Solutions, is actively hosting seminars in Blairsville and Blue Ridge to help our community better understand who MASA is and the important services they provide.

It was our pleasure to welcome the president of the Union County Rotary Club, Chuck Henz as our guest speaker last week.
Chuck's leadership and commitment stand as a powerful representation of true community service.
The Rotary Club continues to make a real impact through projects like the city park, the annual Shop With a Cop, and serving lunch to our veterans on Veterans Day — all meaningful acts of service that strengthen our town.

We had the pleasure of getting to know one of our newest 2026 members Don Schneider and David Dean with ServiceMaster Restore when they presented their company at our weekly morning meeting.

They offer a variety of services including mold remediation, water restoration, fire and smoke restoration, sewage restoration and crawlspace encapsulation. All of which at one point in time most homeowners have needed one of these services. We now know who to call! NOT THE GHOST BUSTERS........ as Don would say! Call ServiceMaster Restore.

Friday nights MNRG Social at the Hinton Center was a hit! We got the grand tour of this beautiful gem and all its history followed by dinner at their lakeside pavilion!
