Remember all that manure we hauled to the field? Now it’s time to spread it! One more step in putting those nutrients back into our soil.

Ever wonder what happens to all that manure? 🐄💩

We’re not just hauling it away and getting rid of it. There’s a whole lot more to it than that!
The manure from our freestall barn is separated from the water, the solids are hauled to the field, and those nutrients are put back into the soil before we plant our wheat. 🌾
That wheat becomes feed for our cows, our cows produce milk…and manure…which starts the cycle all over again. ♻️🐄
It’s a pretty cool full-circle system!

Farm life isn’t always just about what happens in the barn — sometimes what comes out of the barn has an important job to do, too. 😉
