CTEC Solar lost a member of its family last weekend. Jeff Pipeling passed away from natural causes, leaving behind his beloved children Emma and Nate. Jeff was the Director of Business Development at CTEC Solar but he was far more than that. He was with CTEC since the start 10 years ago when the company was first making its way through the solar industry in CT. He was a leader for CTEC and was involved in most of our successes. He worked closely with Mickey Toro the company President and owner in establishing the company's approach and presence in the industry. Jeff was a tireless worker with a tremendous passion for CTEC, his team and renewables in general. What he did was impactful and he did it all for his children. He wanted them to learn from his work ethic and understand what it took to be successful. His children are wonderful kids and he was a great mentor to them. Our hearts go out to them and the rest of his family as we try to process this tragedy internally. He will be greatly missed but would expect us to keep fighting the fight with a smile, energy and passion. And that's just what we will do. We will miss you Jeff Pipeling, but you will never be forgotten.

CTEC Solar, LLC is a locally owned and operated company based in Bloomfield, CT with an additional office in Charlton, MA. The company holds a Connecticut Major Contractor license, and holds electrical licenses in the states of CT, MA, NY, NH, VT, ME and RI. We employ North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) certified employees. Founded in 2011, CTEC Solar is one of the most experienced and trusted photovoltaic contractors in the Northeast who are experts in residential, commercial and industrial roof top solar, as well as utility scale ground mount development. Our expertise includes knowledge of landfill and brownfield management and solar development best practices. The professional staff of installers, engineers, and business developers is the backbone of the company. It is the dedication of its employees that has gained CTEC a superior reputation for quality and service.

CTEC Solar is a fully integrated commercial development company that handles all aspects of development including design and engineering to procurement and installation. It has won over 85 percent of its LREC/ZREC bids through the State of Connecticut's incentive program and has recently completed one of a just nine Virtual Net Metering projects to be approved through the State's Virtual Net Metering (VNM) Pilot Program. It has also recently been awarded a 2 MW Community Solar bid through the CT DEEP Community Solar Pilot Program. This project will be the first of its kind developed and constructed in the state of Connecticut. CTEC Solar is also a leader in Solar plus storage, currently developing several battery powered projects in the states of CT and MA.

CTEC has been identified as a Top 50 Solar Contractor in country through 2016-2018 by Solar World Magazine. It has also been identified as a model company by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) as an example of the business design that promotes rapid job growth in the market.
