Long but important.........it breaks my heart to write this.
Ron passed away on September 15 of last year and because of that I will be retiring Hurricane Signs and Printing.
If you didn't know his story, back in 1992 he sold his beloved Honda "Hurricane" motorcycle to buy his first printing press to start Hurricane Press in his parents' garage.
After 30 years of hard work and dedication, Hurricane Signs was still going strong, which was not an easy feat. The "mom and pop shop" barely exists anymore, but we held on and kept going and were one of the remaining few.
Ron poured everything into his business. He taught himself everything he knew from running printing presses, to old school printing, to designing websites using HTML, to creating incredible graphics, marketing any business with effective designs to make them a success, to truck lettering, really cool metal signs and making beautiful carved signs.
He also changed with the times. We starting doing signs when he realized old school printing was becoming a thing of the past with all the new online options.
We always put out the highest quality products and services. HIS designs were effective and made you money. He knew what would work for your business and would never produce anything less.
To say he was talented is an understatement. If you knew him, you know that.
This has been a very difficult decision for me, but I've decided to shut down our business. We had an amazing run, but I believe this is the best time to say goodbye.
This was his business and I can't do it without him. He was the genius behind everything.....I was just his partner.
I truly appreciate all of you, our valued customers. Ron built our business on relationships. We treated our customers like family and that kept you coming back and we were so grateful.
From the bottom of my heart, to all of our valued customers, friends and family.......my family and I thank you so much for your 30 years of continued support.
Warmest regards
Lucyanne Kelemen
