THINGS WE WISH HOMEOWNERS KNEW BEFORE FILING AN INSURANCE CLAIM!
PART 1: JUST BECAUSE A CHECK WAS SENT DOESN'T MEAN YOUR CLAIM IS CLOSED!
Your insurance company inspected your property, approved some damage, and sent you a check.
Great! But here's what we wish more homeowners understood...
That first check isn't necessarily the final payment, and that first estimate isn't necessarily the complete scope of work.
Sometimes additional damage is discovered during construction. Sometimes necessary items are overlooked. And sometimes recoverable depreciation is still being held.
That's why proper documentation, communication, and understanding the supplemental process matter!
A check doesn't automatically mean everything has been addressed, but it doesn't guarantee additional payment either. Every claim is different.
At Nailed It Home Solutions, we believe informed homeowners make better decisions. And homeowners deserve to understand what's happening with their homes. ā¤ļø
And here's something we want to make VERY clear throughout this series:
We're not public adjusters.
We're not insurance agents.
We're not attorneys.
We're contractors who CARE. ā¤ļø
We know construction, we believe in transparency, and we're here to share what we've learned from the construction side of storm restoration, not to provide insurance or legal advice.
Because doing the right thing should never depend on whether we earn your business.
STAY TUNED FOR NEXT WEEK šš¤
